    Hi Igorshev,

    i got a similar problem:

    Writing Geometry…
Bramaputra: Mesh property tables are current.
    Completed Writing Geometry

    Geometric Preprocessor HEC-RAS 6.0 Beta

    Finished Processing Geometry

    Writing Event Conditions …
    Completed Writing Event Condition Data

Performing Unsteady Flow Simulation HEC-RAS 6.0 Beta

+STOP! Error in the time window.
HDF_ERROR trying to close HDF output file:
    HDF5-DIAG: Error detected in HDF5 (1.8.11) thread 0:
    #000: ..\..\src\H5T.c line 1761 in H5Tclose(): not a datatype
    major: Invalid arguments to routine
    minor: Inappropriate type

Error starting unsteady simulation – Stopping compute process

This error also occurs with the HEC 6.0 Example projects and the model runs smoothly when unsing HEC 5.0.7.
So i guess this error has something to do with windows region settings but i didnt figure out whats wrong.
Another source of the error could be the HDF Version as we both have different ones.
Did you ever try to reinstall HEC 6.0?

    Best,
    Stefan

Maybe you sould try this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sPG2ndfYa1o

It helps you to understand how to modify the terrain with Ras Mapper.
There might be smarter tools but I dont know anythin that is avaliable for free.

    Good Luck!

    Hi,
I had the same error message and my problem was the initial elevation of my storage area beeing higher than the calculated Elevation versus Volume Curve of my storage area.
Another option could be to use a shorter computation interval maybe something runs insable if it is too large.
