PaoloPParticipant
I sent a mail with the problem to RAS support, this is their reply at the beginning of September:
“Thank you for the dataset. I was able to build your solution and replicate the issue in both 6.2 and 6.3. At the moment I cannot determine the source of the issue, but we will look into further.”
PaoloPParticipantTake a look of this https://shop.m3eweb.com/home/30-ras-geometry-maker.html maube can help

PaoloPParticipantTake a look of RAS Geometry Maker
Paolo
PaoloPParticipantScott, you should use HECRASController to easily read the geometry file.
You can download “RAS to Excel” fromto see a VBA code that reads a geometry file.
Unfortunately the cose is only partially documentedPaolo
PaoloPParticipantTake a look of “RAS Lateral Structures” (free download) in
Unfortuanately the elevation is taken from Cross Sections (different options) not from DTM
Paolo
PaoloPParticipantRules BC allows to define the flow in the lateral structure constant, based on variables in your model or time.
To define rules RAS gives you a simple programming language.
Take a look of Chapter 16 Advanced Features for Unsteady Flow Routing in HEC-RAS Users Manual
PaoloPParticipantI’m not sure RAS allows negative discharge in lateral inflow.
For sure you can define a Lateral Structure and than define the sink with Rule BC.Paolo
PaoloPParticipantSome bugs have been found in “RAS Lateral Structures” tool.
A new free version is now available on https://www.m3eweb.it/products/Paolo
PaoloPParticipantCharles,
it is not clear.
Do you get the error when you save in xlsx format or when you run the xslm file?
Could you share the files?
PaoloPaoloPParticipantCharles,
I think you simply have to save the file in *.xlsx instead of *.xlsm format.Paolo
PaoloPParticipantYou can export the whole geometry using “RAS to Excel” a free tool that you can download from https://www.m3eweb.it/products/
Paolo
PaoloPParticipantTake a look to RAS Geometry Maker https://www.m3eweb.it/products/ it works also for LOB and ROB
PaoloPParticipantTake a look of RAS Geometry Maker https://www.m3eweb.it/products/ in could be useful
PaoloPParticipantYou have to use rule as boundary condition
