You can also import shape files in the Breaklines GIS Coordinates window by selecting Import Lines on the bottom left.
cameronParticipantthe HTAB is in the geometric data editor as a button on the left side.
cameronParticipantHow does the weir stationing look? Does it have values that go straight up without moving in the horizontal?

cameronParticipantIn QGIS save the shapefile out as a new one and see if that fixes it.
cameronParticipantQGIS has issues sometimes. Can you save the edits you made and open the shapefile in another program?

There are multiple ways of doing this, initial condition of the 2D area or hotstart.

May 11, 2016 at 6:41 pm in reply to: Geometric Data Plan Not Displaying Additional Downstream Cross Section #9900cameronParticipantDid you specify the reach lengths for the added XS? It is probably shown in plan view, but the reach length is set to zero and so it appears on top of another XS.
cameronParticipantbackwater effects? From what is shows, the discharge is going upstream through the structure.
cameronParticipantThe error states that your terrain file does not cover the 2D boundary. Is your terrain file larger than the 2D boundary extent?
cameronParticipantThere is no tool in HEC-RAS to calculate it automatically for you. If you use GeoRAS, WMS, or another software, the values can be calculated for you.
cameronParticipantI generally do just this and set them all to the same. There are some cases where I then go back and adjust as needed, but that does not happen very often.
cameronParticipantIn the latest release of HEC-RAS 5.0, the 2D Vx and Vy values are not created by default (they were in the beta) and need to be turned on in the output options. Once this is turned on, the outputs will be in the hdf file.
cameronParticipantI have used in a lot on my windows 10 machine and there is no problem with it that I know of.
