Can you model the overbanks as 2D with a 1D channel?
cameronParticipantDid you specify the XSCutLines and River in GIS?
November 30, 2016 at 7:15 pm in reply to: When a flow stage elevation that was set is reached. #10267cameronParticipantYou could look at the stage hydrograph for the cross-section and check when it was reached.
November 30, 2016 at 5:10 am in reply to: Error Determining output format: Bad file name or number #10256cameronParticipantIs the model running to the end or is crashing? Have you tried the View|Sediment Output options?
November 30, 2016 at 5:06 am in reply to: Newbie of Sorts with ? about which files to load from existing model #10209cameronParticipantMultiple things going on here, first your error is above 1 which can cause the model to blow up and crash. This can be fixed by adjusting the timestep or modifying the model in trouble areas. The warning is probably due to the model crashing and I wouldn’t worry to much about it, but it may be a good idea to check the HTAB parameters. The last error message should be looked into and I would look at each cross-section to make sure there is no bad station/elevation data.
cameronParticipantHave you tried renaming the lateral structure to something less than 8290.706?
cameronParticipantYou need to connect the 1D model with lateral structures to the 2D model.
cameronParticipantDid you modify the internal bridge cross-sections at all? When you add a bridge two internal cross-sections are generated which are just copies of the upstream and downstream cross-sections including the same invert. You can go in and adjust the inverts in the internal cross-sections to follow the same slope which will probably fix your problem.
cameronParticipanthow were the lateral structures drawn? Upstream to downstream?
cameronParticipanthow is the 1D model connected to the 2D model?
cameronParticipantYes I have used that one. There was another one, but have not used them in awhile since I use ArcGIS.
cameronParticipantI do not believe that HEC-RAS likes commas and you will need to switch to using decimals 12.01 or 645.55
November 23, 2016 at 8:00 am in reply to: Importing Lateral Structures from 5.0.1 to 5.0.3 Errors #10240cameronParticipantHave not seen this error before, but does this have anything to do with the station name of the lateral structure? Or maybe the stationing of the weir does not match the GIS line for the lateral structure?
cameronParticipantwhy did you convert it to flt? HEC-RAS is just going to convert it back to *.tif. Try the *.tif and see if that works. As for the errors, I could not read them.
November 23, 2016 at 7:53 am in reply to: Missing Boundary Conditions onm Downstream side of profile #10218cameronParticipantYou need to add an inflow boundary condition and an outflow boundary condition for the model to run. These are entered in the Flow data editor.
