Thank you Toby. There is FacePoints Coordinate in HDF but its matrix does not match with shear stress matrix.
    Wet cells are around 400000.
The specification of my computer is:
i7 -6500U [email protected], 8 GB RAM and 64-bit operating system.

    Thank you everyone.

If the file size is less than 2GB, I can send you a link to transfer it to =
me. I’ll see if it opens on my computer. That will confirm if it’s a memory=
    issue.

If it is you’ll need to either reduce your model extents or your terrain re=
solution. You should be able to reduce the terrain to 2-ft or 5-ft, but tha=
t is your judgement. I have not had to use 1-ft for river systems. Most I’v=
e used was 5-ft for a dense urban area with buildings represented in the te=
    rrain.

Another possible solution would be to open ArcCatalog and export the TIF as=
a new TIF with LZW compression and a 2-ft resolution. So basically your mo=
delling is done at the 1-ft resolution and you’re resampling it to 2-ft. No=
t sure if this would give an equal or worse result than running with a 2-ft=
terrain. I would think the 2-ft terrain would be more accurate, but this m=
    ight be worth a try.

You may also want to try using QGIS or gdal to manipulate the raster. I fin=
d QGIS can handle some file types better than ArcGIS. ArcGIS is a resource =
hog. Gdal are command line Python scripts that will perform operations in =
the cmd window and also seems more efficient than ArcGIS. Note that QGIS us=
es gdal scripts from the QGIS interface.

    Cheers,

Got your files. Something is fishy. It instantly crashes for me as well.

I think your terrain file must have something wrong with it…. Send me bo=
th your original terrain file (ArcGIS raster zipped or if it was a TIF/JPG)=
and the RASMapper generated terrain files (TIF+VRT+HDF). Zip it all up.

Alternatively just zip up your whole model. =3D)

    Thank you again.

Along that approach, you could have two models with a low-resolution model =
feeding the high-resolution (smaller area) with an upstream flow hydrograph=
. Just depends on your situation if that would work and maintain a good sol=
ution at the boundaries and throughout the model.

Glad to see you making progress.

RE: Thank you Toby. There is FacePoints Coordinate in HDF but its matrix does not match with shear stress matrix.
    Wet cells are around 400000.

The FacePoints specify where each face starts/ends. You could get the FacePoints on either side of a given face, compute the point halfway in between and assume that is location for the shear stress. I haven’t tried this, but from a quick look in the hdf file, it looks the needed info is pretty straight forward.

I was thinking the same but number of face point co-ordinates are almost less than half of shear stress. The number of values for shear stress is 626514 and number of face point co-ordinates is 226928.

IF you link the cell face points with their indexes you will get the right count found in

Faces FacePoint Indexes. Found in Geom/2D flow/mesh name

    Thank you Toby.
I have a question. What do the Faces FacePoint Indexes and Cells Cell Point Indexes represent? If I could connect cell face points then that will be great.

    Thanks
