I’m running a dam breach simulation with overtopping failure at a set time. There is a 50 cfs constant inflow at a cross-section placed at the upstream end of the reservoir, which was modeled level pool.

I’m having trouble understanding what “Breach Flow” is in the table. Obviously something is happening since there are huge oscillations after the two other flow columns go to zero. But what is “Breach Flow” in the first place?

edit: I realized this model was created in 4.1, ran it there and the hydrograph is normal. Doh! But, I am still curious what breach flow is below.

Breach flow is the flow that goes through the breach, it does not account of outlet works or spillway.
