Water surface around bridge

Hello,

I’m recently modeling a river junction area with a weir, a bridge and mill race. The mill race starts at the weir, goes through one opening of the bridge and ends after that.

After running, WSE is very high at the bridge(more than 100m higher) and the X-section after bridge has low WSE. Then when flow reach a centain amount and flow through 2D area, the high water disappears and low water changes to another x-section.

I cannot find out what cause this problem. Can anyone help?

That is an instability in the model. It looks like it is associated with the bridge. The first thing you should do is make sure that the pre-processed bridge curves look ok.
