Velocity Distributions

Good Evening sir/mam,
I am an HEC-RAS user and was working on it for my Thesis work.
I want to determine the velocity distributions of a certain cross section of a reach at every 5m interval perpendicular to the flow for my analysis part.
will you please show me the path how to determine them.
Another question is, can we use spillway cross section data as a geometry data for calculating various parameters of an overflow of a spillway.

Don’t know if this is is what you have been asking and the problem is probably solved, but for anyone else who is stuck at this.

You have distribute your flow sections in a way that the you get velocity at desired cross section interval.
go to > Steady Flow analysis or Unsteady Flow analysis > Options > Flow distribution Locations > Set Global Subsection Distribution

select the number of segments for LOB,channel and ROB where you can view velocity profile
