    Hello,

I was searching for similiar topic in this forum but I have not found anythig so I decided to start new topic. In the beginning I’d like to admit that I am very beginner in Hec Ras.
I’m trying to build model with unsteady flow simulation but the output of results looks quite strange. I have channel with bottom width 4 m, hight 2,5 m and bank slope 1:2. Longitudinal slope of the bottom is 0,00115. Dishcarge value is only 0,46 m3/s so it shoul be not problem with containing water in the channel – but there is. Is anybody know why can it be like that? I attached two screens to give you overall idea of the problem, but I can attach all project of anybody is intersted with that. I will really appreciate every tip from you.

    Hi Blue,

You should check your HTab parameters from Geometric Data Window.
I usually chose to work with an increment of 0.25 and 100 points.

Check also your calculation options like the computation interval, the influence of turning on mixed flow regime and your upstream boundary condition.

    Thank you for reply 🙂

I checked all the things that you suggested and there is no change in model. Strange thing is that program doesn’t react on any changes, no matter what I am changing all the time it’s the same, like it would be frozen.
