In an attempt to debug a model, I enabled Detailed Log Output for a portion of the run. In the log file (.bco##), immediately below “Solving for Time Window…” is a line with 12 items: “Iter, River, Station, Elev, DZ, Storage, Zsa, DZsa, River, Station, Q, DQ”. These are mostly self-explanatory. However, what is the meaning of the two instances of “River, Station”, and how are these related to the Storage area listed? Is the “Q” the flow from River/Station #1 to River/Station #2 via the Storage Area?

Related to this, the River/Station listed (both #1 and #2) have nothing to do with the Storage Area listed. They are miles apart, and are not (supposed to be) connected. Is this a sign that my geometry may be corrupted? This model was built in v.4.1, but recently run in v. 5.0.1.

The log file reports the cross section that had the largest error in water surface (this is DZ) and it also reports the cross section that had the largest error in flow (this is DQ). The same cross section might have the biggest error in both, but that is not always the case.

It also reports the storage area that had the largest error.

These errors are independent. It has nothing to do with flow between two listed cross sections or any listed storage areas, so no, it is not a sign that the geometry is corrupted.

    Makes sense. Thanks Jarvus.
