I am trying to truncate an unsteady model. I am unable to do so and get the same results as the original model. So far, I only tried truncating part of the upstream end, putting in a stage/flow BC at the upstream end from the original model results at that XS. I ensured the same initial flows were applied, time steps are the same for computation, input, and output across the board, etc. Why are the results slightly different (WSEL +-0.04 max)?

This is not a monkey head transplant. Just cutting and plugging in an identical time series in the middle of the model, right? Did I miss an element?

Was your an initial input a hydrograph and not a stage/flow?

Yes. Do you think that is the problem? Suggestions to resolve?

Yea thats the reason results are different. The solution would be to switch back and add the hydrograph rather than stage
