We are doing a scour analysis for new bridge in a Tidal Riverine using HEC-RAS unsteady 1D.
We are modeling a Tidal Surge hydrograph.
Trying to capture the highest velocity or best velocity and depths comparisons.
How far upstream do we need to extend the reach lengths. If we vary the reach lengths upstream of the bridge we are getting different results.
Any design guidance on approaching modeling approaches to obtain the most appropriate scour variables?
