Please help. I am new to working with HEC-RAS and HEC-GEORAS and am providing GIS support to NRCS engineers. I have run into a problem import the GIS data from HEC-RAS to build the inundation map. The 2 different times I have run throught the process I get the following errors File -Error 2 is the first time I ran the import and set the terrain value to a TIN. When I set the terrain value to grid I get an error of Error in AddGrid to ArcMap

Please let me know of anything that can be of help to solve this problem.

    Thank you

Make sure the background processing is turned off. Under geoprocessing-Geoprocessing Options. Also I have found that if you are working on a server the program crashes often. You may want to try moving all your data locally on your machine and try it if the problem persists.

Thank you. As I work through this process, everything seems to go smoothly until I try to do the floodplain deliniation. Then I get the follow error that I am embedding in this post

    any ideas would be appreciated

    Thanks again in advanced

I just tried it with my data set and got the same error. I changed the output directory to a folder on my local machine (not on our server) and it worked fine.

    Hi jwatermolen,

I am facing the same problem. I am using ArcGIS10.3.1 and HEC-RAS 5.0.7. Did you get the solution for it?
I have attached a screenshot of the error.

Can you help me to solve this error?

    Thanks in advance
    Harsh Shah
