Show river alignment in cross section

I have a question, is it possible to show/highlight the river centerline/alignment station within a cross section. I recently created a geometry for a concrete channel and wanted to position it centrally to the river alignment to then be inserted into a 2D model. after creating a couple of cross sections on the upstream and downstream ends of the river alignment with variable width I found that it was difficult to work out where the centre of the channel should be positioned within the cross sections. You then end up with a meandering channel that should be straight.

I do not know any other way other than using CAD and GIS to create alignments and bring them in as shapefiles

Luis, creating the alignment is not an issue its then trying to drop a box channel to line up from the centre of the channel to the centre of the river alignment. when you create different width cross sections it’s not easy to tell where the river alignment sits within the cross section.
