Selecting 2D flow area - Kleinschmidt

Hi everyone.

I am new to Hec Ras and on this forum. I want to do 2D flood modeling with Hec Ras 5.0.1 but when I select the the 2D flow area following the steps written in the help manual it cut the area instead of selecting. What could be the cause of this? Below are the pictures of what am talking about.

It didn’t cut the area, it is showing the area filled. In the geometry editor select view at the top and then unclick the “fill in storage areas/2d flow areas”
