Sediment transport invert profile getting instable

Hello,

I try to stabilize a unsteady 1D sediment transport model (steep slope, supercritical flow). The model becomes unstable after 2h (total duration 4h, peak flow after 1h). In a very short lapse time of 4s (the time step is 1 second), the invert profile gets totally eroded and an error message is displayed.

The following figures show how the instability in the minor bed is amplified after every second.

Any idea about how to fix this issue?
