    I’m searching for a way to automatically obtain the maximum velocities and shear stresses in the left overbank, channel, and right overbank at each cross section of a 1D steady state HEC-RAS model. To do this manually, I would open the model’s Detailed Output Table, select the Flow Distribution at Cross Sections table type, click a cross section, search for maximum velocity and shear stress values among the LOB, Chan, and ROB subsections, and move to the next cross section. I can copy each cross section’s data to a spreadsheet and search through it automatically, but the process is still somewhat time-consuming. It would be very helpful if this could be automated with the HECRAS Controller.

    It seems that the HRC’s Output_NodeOutput function does not return detailed cross section data divided into subsections, as the 268 available output variables are mostly aggregate values (e.g. average velocities). Is there a way to automatically retrieve the flow distribution results displayed in the Detailed Output Table?
