    Hello,

we are modelling a 3 km long river channel and floodplain using Hec 5.0.3 in 2D mode.
Our boundary condition input is a flow Hydrograph that starts with low flow rate, flow rate gets high and then low again, typical flood hydrograph.
We are interested in water level during flood and after the flood in the remaining pools.

We are getting results with many pools of 0.008 m depth.
We would like to remove these pools with depth smaller than 0.05 m from the results, for better visualization of the really significant pools .

I have tried editing layer properties without sucess.
Any way to filter results in HEC RAS without using ArcGis?

    Than you!

    Gustavo

If you right click on the Results layer and select the Render Options, you can specify what depths are shown. I believe the default is 0.001 meters.

    Hi,

Further to this post regarding filtering out shallow flow depths, is there a way to filter multiple items at once such as : depth, flood area and V.d parameters ???

I am doing a project and Council has queried this.

    Thanks in advance,
    Stuart

No each one must be filtered independently. There are some tricks utilizing GIS. Also if you export a RAS raster from depth results by not showing depths of .01 ft for example, the raster exported will not contain those results either
