Read *.sed02 output file

　Hello, everyone.

　I have a simple question.

　After sediment transport simulation in HEC-RAS 5.0.1, **.sed02 output file is generated.

　I want to read this file without HEC-RAS running (i.e., just reading it in notepad).

　Is it possible? I tried to convert that binary file to normal text file(hdf5 to txt), but failed..

　Does sombody can give a hint? or related references?

I’m not aware that there is anyway to read the *.sed## file. That file contains the output for the “old sediment” style output.

It is possible to read the hdf output that also contains the new sediment output. This is the *.p##.hdf file.

You can download a free copy of HDFView and use that to look at the file.
