I have converted a Raster Lidar data set into a .flt file using Raster Conversion in GIS, but RAS Mapper will not accept the resulting .flt file. Right away I receive the following error:

Failed to process SRS definition: *.prj
Error creating Terrain: *.tif does not exist in the file system, and is not recognized as a supported dataset name.

This seems like it should be a basic step, and is an important one to actually get moving in for floodplain mapping of 1D results or to begin setting up RAS 2D, so any help is greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

Did you set a projection for RAS Mapper?

The same projection as the .flt file was set using the .prj file that was output from ArcGIS when using the RAS Conversion Tool.

Problem resolved! Ended up converting my Lidar data to a .tif rather than .flt which worked. I also made sure my geometry and Lidar were projected to the same datum.
