The HEC-RAS 2D is a major advance in modeling. Here is my question: I have terrain data in x,y,z format and do not have access to the ESRI software (ArcGIS). How do I build an input file for RASMapper from this data?
October 5, 2014 at 5:32 am #8965cameronParticipantThere are many programs that can create surfaces based on xyz data. You could purchase Global Mapper which is far cheaper that ArcMap. There are also free options such as QGIS or GRASS which can generate surfaces.
