I am currently using the HEC-RAS Controller for my master thesis.
Thank you very much Chris for this useful book.
Is there a way to do a “quasi-unsteady” flow simulation with multiple steady flow simulations with the HEC-RAS Controller?
I don’t need the sediment part.
By “quasi-unsteady” I mean an hydrograph with steady flow during the increment time.
Yes, you can do that. You could set up one plan for each “duration”. Each having its own flow. Then use the HECRASController to run each plan and extract the results to a spreadsheet. You can set up your code to run one plan after the other so you don’t have to babysit it. Sounds like a cool use for the HECRASController belt me know how it goes.
Thanks for using my book. Glad you are finding it helpful. Best of luck!
Chris
