Hi I have a question modeling flows through a pond. As you can see from the images below I have two general cross sections one in the middle of the pond and one at the end of the berm. I have two clients telling me I need to model it different ways. I would really like some input on what is the proper way to model what is effective and what is ineffectively flowing under the berm when there is a flow condition of an avg of 3 feet of water conveying over the right side berm. I have attached the last downstream xs of the berm where the over top is located at an elevation of 991.52.

Any help, equation, or method of approach would be greatly appreciated.

The biggest question is how do I know where to set my ineffective flow depths upstream of the final cross section or the berm overtop. I can see from diagrams that there should be some flow under the elevation of the berm. Does anyone know a relationship between the berm height, compared to the velocity distribution upstream.
