i have set up a HEC-RAS model with 2 junctions and 5 reaches. I have defined the inflow at the upstream ends of each reach. it is a steady analysis that i am working with. The model runs well without errors. However the results are odd. Flow is not being passed downstream between reaches. Each reach only models the upstream flow provided for it.
I want the flow to be transferred downstream across junctions. How do i ensure that this is done?
In addition why does HEC-RAS insist that i must add flows for the reaches that lie between a downstream and upstream reach? I thought that the flow would be transferred. I have checked my junctions and it appears they have been well connected.
Please help.
