I am experiencing a problem with exporting maps to disk from Ras Mapper. I had already found this problem in version 5.0.3, and I verified that it remained in the new official version 5.0.4.
I ran a plan file and I can correctly see the results in Ras Mapper. Using Ras Mapper to view the maps “on the fly” everything works.
The problem is when I tried to save maps to disk.

First, I saved “Depth Maps” in shape format and everythigs works. I exported single polygons using the following procedure:
    1. Open Window “Manage Results Maps” -> Add New Map
    2. In “Results Map Parameters” windows I set following parameters:
    Map Type = Depth
    Unsteady Profile = Maximum
Map Out Mode = Polygon Boundary at Value: 2
    Layer name = Depth
    3. Press “Compute/Update Stored Maps” bottom

I tried to do the same thing with “Velocity Maps” and I had 2 problem:
1ST: the shape filename is the same for all saved shape file, regardless of the Velocity parameter I set. So, I have to export one file at a time and then I have to manually change his name.
2ND: shapefile does not contain the “Velocity polygon” but the “Depth polygon”.

I do not know how to solve this second issue. Can someone help me?

    Hi Alberto,

Were you ever able to fix this problem? I’m experiencing the same exact issue…

    Hi …

I am also experienced this issue. I have also tried to do this with WSE instead of depth at a certain value. I get as far as “Processing Terrain Stitch TIN” but I never get a shapefile out of this process.

Have tried a few times now… Did you manage to figure this out?
