    Good evening.

I am writing this message because I was doing the mapping of a flood plain, for my research, and I found a problem.

I did all the steps of a tutorial on youtube:
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kM2XWb5dNoQ
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=36wdta8JGbU
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aziti65d21E
    Which match with HEC-RAS manual.

I performed all the steps in Arc-GIS and GIS I exported successfully Format.
But when importing GIS Format in HEC-RAS, the design does not appear as it should.
Below post the image ArcGIS (as it should appear in the HEC-RAS), and the image that appeared when I opened the file in HEC-RAS.

If anyone has an idea of why this is happening, I will be very grateful.

It seems that you are using HEC RAS 5, then you need to go RAS Mapper first to define projection for your project and load some reference maps and DEM, then import and load your other files. See how this works.

Also you need to change your language settings from “,” to point “.” if you are working in a region where “,” is used as decimal seperator e.g. 10,50 in Hec-Ras should be expressed as 10.50

Also you should not have any additional files in the database except of the ones which are needed. And metre or feet should be in both systems consistent.

    Maybe it helps…

    Thanks for the help.

The thing with decimal separator I knowed. I actually tried to use on a computer where the “.” is the decimal separator, but it happens the same thing.

About your other tip, about files on database, I didn’t really understood:/
