    Hi,

i am trying to export GIS file i made in Civil 3D, but i get this problem of HEC not showing me the river the same as i made it in Civil 3D. The error statement says that the river was not georeferenced and HEC shows a very strange image. The Cross sections and the river is seen, but not in the right scale.

I defined a Surface and a Parcel, a river (polyline) as Aligment and cross sections (polylines) as Sample lines. I think the problem is in Surface declaration, but i can’t find it. If anyone faced this kind of problem before, i would be very glad if he can share it!

I am using HEC Version 4.1.0
    Thank you
    Nejc

All you have to do is go into your geometry editor and go to GIS tools/Reach Invert lines table. This table will contain the X and Y data for your reach.

Now simultaneously open up Civil3d and use the command “LIST”. This will give you the correct X and Y data for your reach. From here just copy and paste the X and Y values from the list pop up into HEC-RAS.

Side-note: The Civil3d LIST command has a hidden maximum number of output lines. If you are inputting the data into HEC-RAS and it seems you are missing a piece of your reach, its because you are.

You will have to set your output list table to an outside source..something in your C drive where you can always open it. To do this use the shortcut “OP” and find the “files” tab then scroll down and find Log file Location. From here you can change the location to somewhere you know and can always open.
