    Hi,
I have some problems performing an unsteady flow analysis. When computing I recieve an error message for the unsteady post processor:
“Error reading data from path: /WORD1 WORD2//LOCATION-FLOW//MAX STAGE/TEST1” Path not found

I have got the project including geometry file from a friend to perform the unsteady analysis. Problem is that there are no file/folder called “word1 word2” to be found on the computer (neither on mine or his), and the path is completely different from the path on which I saved the project (including the plan).
It does not help if I do save plan as.

How can I change the path to search in a specific directory which does exist?

Caroline: The reference appears to be to an HEC-DSS path name. HEC-DSS is the data storage system that HEC-RAS can use for inflow hydrographs, observed data, and other info. Those files have the extension .dss and are often not transferred along with the RAS files. Look at the unsteady flow data editor for a hydrograph boundary condition. Opening that boundary condition should give you a clue regarding the DSS file name and its location.

    Hello,

I’ve came across with the same error. In my case, the problem was the name of the “reach” in the “geometry editor”. The name cannot contain any main accent, acute accent, etc.
For example: “Sébaou” should be named “Sebaou”.

    Cheers

    Hi,
Nice that you solved the problem! Exactly the same way I solved mine. The strange thing was that it worked well with special characters when running an steady flow simulation, the error appeared when I tried the unsteady simulation.
