    Hi
I am new to Hec-Ras and I am trying to extract the values from cross-sections. I have to use “copy values to clipboard” function, and pasted them into a new .txt data. However, I have several hundreds of cross-sections, which means I have to the procedures for hundreds of times. I am wondering if Hec-Ras has a function to output these values in in batch? Something like a loop of the code?
    Pleas help, thanks

You can export the whole geometry using “RAS to Excel” a free tool that you can download from https://www.m3eweb.it/products/

    Hi Paolo,
I successfully output part of my data. However, when I tried to used this excel file on other computer, I got a error message of “Compile error, can’t find project or library”. I am wondering why I got this error? Could it because HEC-RAS in this computer installed in D driver?
In addition, I am wondering when the pop-up window of “from HEC-RAS GUI choose the geometry you want to export” shows, how to choose the Cross-section part only?
    Thank you!

    Charles,
I think you simply have to save the file in *.xlsx instead of *.xlsm format.

Thank you Paolo, and sorry for keeping ask questions. I meet another problem, there is an massage of ” Run-time error ‘9’: Subscript out of range” pop up when I tried to perform this .xlsx file. And if you click Debug, the error goes to a line of “dblXY(j, 1) = Val(strXY(0))”

Do you know how to fix this problem, Thank you again!

    Charles,
    it is not clear.
Do you get the error when you save in xlsx format or when you run the xslm file?
    Could you share the files?
    Paolo
