Hi,
In the post about weirs in HEC-RAS, it was confirmed from the guys at HEC-RAS that in 2D-modelling weir uses to water surface elevation to calculate discharge over a weir.
When this is the case, and that flow over weirs in 1D is calculated using energy head, how:
1) Could we compare the two methods to each other?
2) Do we chose the discharge coefficient in 2D (considering the most used coefficients are derived using energy head as input).
