    Hi there,

I downloaded the latest Hec-Ras version (5.0.3). I need to reverse the station data at each cross-section for a reach.

Usually in Geometry Editor>Tools>Reverse XS Stationing and Cut lines I could do this. Now in the latest version the option is no longer there, but the manual still refers to it being under Tools on page 6-166.

    Any advise would be appreciated.

Luis is heading in the right direction, but when I did the “Reverse Cut Lines” tool it didn’t switch the stationing. The tool “GIS Tools > GIS Cut Lines > Reverse XS Stationing and Cut Line Data” does the job.

Hi. I have also a problem. I imported the model from civil 3D, I reversed the direction of the river, and also tried to reverse the cross sections, The direction of the river is good and the direction of each cross section is good (from left to right) but the order is wrong. The 0 cross section is upstream, and I need to revers the order of the cross sections. Any idea how I can do this? Thanks.

It does not do the job for me and I am not sure why. Lowest station numbers are still upstream, it just goes from starting at about 39 to starting at 318 for station number

    2)Tables
    3)Names
    4) node names

    good luck

you have to draw your alignment from down stream to up stream in civil 3d you cant reverse stationing in hec ras only you can reverse direction of flow and cross section.
    step by step
    in Civil 3D:

    1. create polylines that represent the sections, bend as required.
    2. create reach centerline alignment from downstream to upstream.
    3. Create sample lines using the polylines from step 1.
    4. run the hec-ras tool, then export the geo file.
    In HEC-RAS:
    1. Import the geo file, then under geometry editor, first run “GIS Tools>Reach Invert line table > reverse order ” to change direction of flow
    2. from “GIS Tools> GIS cut line> reverse cut line ” to reverse cross sections
