hello guys,
i try to simulate a tributary (right term?) which is influenced by tidal effects.
so when there is low water some parts of the river are dry, when the water is rising it flows through the river from both sides and the tidal flow meets in the middle of the river. when the water is sinking again, it flows out at both ends of the river. so you have in- and outflow alternating at both ends. when i perform an unsteady flow Simulation im ok with the results, the flow against the defined stream direction is shown as a negative flow. when is try to simulate the same Situation as an unsteady sediment Simulation, the parts where the negative flows should be are just set to Zero (or nearly at Zero -> 2.84321E-03), but never negative. is hec-ras (5.0.3) not able to simulate Sediment Transport against the stream direction?
