Hello.. I am using HEC RAS 1D modelling for a University project. The aim of the HEC RAS model is to replicate the scenario of a physical model. For the physical model I used a cylindrical pier, however, when I try creating a pier in HEC RAS it asks me for pier width. I think this will create a rectangular (cross section) pier and this can be changed by going to the bridge modelling approach editor by adding a pier shape factor, but I am very uncertain regarding the values.

The manual mentions these coefficients for a few scenarios but none of them seem to be for a single cylindrical pier.

The numerical model is for a lab flume, can some please mention all the values that need to be added to develop a single cylindrical pier with a diameter of 2 cm.

    Thanks a lot.
