I was looking for advice on how to properly model a pipe crossing. I have a small stream in an urban area that has lots of elevated pipe/utility crossings. I was wondering the best way to model them. I had a couple thoughts:

    1) Not to model them. The pipes are only 8″ diameter. How big of an effect will they actually have?
    2) Enter them in as a bridge deck, lower the weir coefficient, and run energy only for high flow.
    3) Same as above, but run the pressure/weir for high flow.

Any insight will be most appreciated. Thanks

All those options are ok in my opinion.

To make it easier i would just increase the minor losses at the cross sections where this is occurring. But i would make sure my cross sections are not too far apart
