Hello. I’m modeling a 2D flow area using a connection with a weir and gates inside this one 2D area. The problem is, the water is not supposed to be on the other side of the weir unless it flows through the gates, but when I set an inicial condition, the water spreads all over the area. Is there a way to add something that works as a levee and prevents the water to be on both sides of the weir?

    Thank you so much

What did you set for your initial condition? What I have done in the past if I want to fill up a reservoir is to add an inflow and let it run until the reservoir is at the elevation I want and then have the model write out a restart file which I use as the initial condition.

You could also break your model up into multiple 2D areas and have one of them with the initial condition.

I set an elevation as a initial condition. I tried breaking my model up into different 2D areas and it seems to work, so I can set an inicial elevation of 0.

    Thanks for the advice.
