    Hi everyone,

I’m trying to build a 2D model of a fishway on a river to illustrate velocity and flow in the structure.

I would like to generate a mesh with 0.5m*0.5m cells, but it seems HecRas can’t compute 2D flow areas hydraulic tables for cells smaller than 1m*1m (and probably smaller than 1ft*1ft in US customary).

Does someone know if there is a minimal size for cells in Hec-ras ? Is there a solution to generate that kind au mesh ?

    Thanks

You can have smaller cell sizes than that. The HEC-RAS validation document has cell sized of 0.05m for some of the laboratory experiments.
