Welcome to the RAS Solution › Forums › HEC-RAS Help › Map layer not aligning to geometric data
Hi, I have added a map layer using google satellite images in rasmapper. However, the channel on the map is not aligning to that from the terrain model I have used to plot my geometric data. Would anyone know how i can try get these to match?
Thanks
I take it the entire channel is offset by the same distance and direction. Is that right? How far is it off?
What projections are the terrain and image data in? Check to see if a datum transformation is needed.
Did you try the Bing Maps? I have seen this happen occasionally with Google Maps.
Problem solved here with square pixel instead of rectangular. http://hec-ras-help.1091112.n5.nabble.com/Problem-with-misaligned-spatial-projection-prj-British-National-Grid-td3753.html#nonehttp:// I don’t know if this solve your problem.
