Hello everyone,
I am a graduate student in civil engineering at the university of Dayton. Currently, I am doing my thesis on locating ineffective flow stations. The objective of this research is to develop a program that can precisely identify the ineffective flow stations at bridges and culverts based on the geometry of the bridge or culvert opening. While conducting the literature review, I looked into many papers on HEC-RAS. However, I am unable to find out a research topic similar to this. I would like to know the techniques practiced by the HEC-RAS professionals in dealing with the ineffective flow stations, especially when we encounter bridges/culverts with varying sloped abutments.
Thanks in advance,
