I would like to ask someone a question about inserting Levees and Ineffective Flow Areas through Cross Section Editor in HEC-RAS 4.1. I have inserted Levees and In. Flow. areas to every cross section (in HEC RAS 4.1). Then I have started a simulation. Everything was OK, all levees and IFA were on right places. Then I have exported all files to HEC GeoRAS.
Problem was during postprocessing in HEC-GeoRAS. Resulted inundation areas were without Levees and IFA (disappeared). Program has not detected levees and IFA points. I really dont know where is the problem. I have checked export setup (export from HEC RAS to HEC Geo RAS) – everything was OK.
Is it problem of export or I have to create a levee and IFA layers during preprocesing in HEC GeoRAS? Please I need an advice 🙂 Thanks

In the GIS Export window, there’s Additional Properties located in the lower right-hand corner where you can select Levees and Ineffective Areas. Hopefully that will help.

    Good Luck
