    Dear all,

I am trying to model that precipitation from a 2DFlowArea is draining via a lateral structure into a 1D channel. Reasonably enough HEC-RAS throwns an error if the weir elevation is smaller than the cell elevation of the attached 2DFlowArea. I do not want to fix that by hand so I would like to fetch the weir elevation from the cell elevation directly rather than from the underlying raster grid.

Any hints on how to proceed?

    Best wishes

You can go to RAS Mapper and draw a line just inside of the 2D area and get the terrain profile under this line. This line should be as high (or higher) than the minimum cell elevations.
On RAS Mapper, click on the button that looks like a ruler with two tiny arrows above it. Draw the location of the line using left mouse button clicks, double click at the end and select Plot Terrain Profile. Click on Table and you can copy and then paste the elevation data into the lateral structure.
