Lateral structure problem

Hello,

I had a 2D model built with HEC-RAS 5.0.3, and there are 4 lateral strutures in this model. I did successfully ran it in Version 5.0.3 and 5.0.4.

Now I open the model on both Ver 5.0.5 and 5.0.6, but when I try to run it gives me this error message:
For the Lateral weir at station 4699
the Headwater cross section weir stations are not correct.
Each cross section weir station must be greater than the
prior cross section weir station

I checked the weir stationing, it is shown like this:

Do anyone know how to fix this problem?

The same weir station is listed twice for cross sections that are 18 feet apart. Start by double checking that. Were they the same in the previous models, or did they differ by even a small amount?

I know the station is not correct, but it is computed by the software, I don’t know how to fix it. I checked my 2D mesh, tried to change a little bit of weir location, still couldn’t work.

I know the lateral structure should ends Xs 3916, but it’s Xs 3901.

I have not seen what is happening there at the downstream end of the lateral structure before. My guess is it has something to do with the length of the lateral structure versus the distance along the centerline. They have to be the same, within a small tolerance.

How much does the lateral structure meander? Also, what does the lateral structure profile look like?

And on the the previous models?

You are right. Length of lateral structure and centerline is different. Now it’s working.

Hi,
I have the same problem but my lateral structure editor states that the weir length is equal to the centerline length (1052.07) since i copied the terrain profile to the weir/embankment.
Any suggestions?
