Lateral structure 1d-2d connection

Hi,

I am trying to create a lateral weir to connect my 1d to the 2d flow area.

I have created a new lateral structure, brought in the centreline GIS co-ordinates, added weir data, inserted start and finish weir station/elevation, added HW river station to weir station, OK-ed which then created default TW and HW. Used clip weir profile to 2d cells.

It has created the structure (image 1) however I want the weir to be following along the topography, which after using clip weir profile to 2d cells (image 2) it appears to do for the first part but not for the whole structure?

I think I am missing a step – would anyone be able to help explain how I should be doing this correctly?
