    Hi..
Someone could help me? I really cant understand how “junction” works.
I have a river with a tributary. My intention is make a water quality evaluation of all system.
    My specifics questions are:
-What ” lenght across junction” meaning? If i put a junction lenght, does it will change the distances between my river’s cross-sections ?
Other question: if i have just one cross-section and the river lenght to characterized my river (example, river length of 500m). Could i characterize my domain just with this information by creating a cross section with downstream reach lenght LOB, channel, ROB = 500, 500, 500 or i have to create another cross-section to define the end of my reach?
    thanks so much!

The junction length is the length from the upstream cross-section to the downstream cross-section. Usually it is the same length as the reach length for the main river. The tributary length is usually measured from the last cross-section of the tributary to junction to downstream cross-section on the main river.
