    Hello!

I have a 2D mesh that is running well, but I am noticing some unrealistic results in a very steep section and wanted to try having closely spaced 1D XSs in this area to see if it improves the results at all.

The area is kind of in the middle of my 2D mesh…is there a way to define a sort of polygon inside the 2D mesh and have it deleted from the 2D mesh? So I can input 1D XSs and have them connected to the surrounding 2D mesh?

It would be alot easier than having to totally redo my 2D perimeter and potentially have multiple 2D areas connected to allow for this empty pocket in the middle.

No, i mean you could draw it in CAD and copy the XY coordinates and override the XY coordinates in RAS. But a donut shape mesh is not possible without some sort of connector.

The best thing to do in this situation is to use a breakline and define the cell spacing at a very large distance to essentially skip over (simplify) the steep area
