I want to get the RAS tiles from the results of 2D unsteady flow analysis. And more important is that I need to execute the procedure in a program. It seems that HECRASController cannot achieve that yet. Any ideas to solve this problem? I’m glad for any reply.

What do you mean from tiles? Do you mean raster results or are you talking about the tiles that can be in a web map?

You would need to set up the ras map file to save out the rasters you want and have the floodplain mapping button checked when you run the program for it automatically create raster outputs. This can be done with some scripting.

    Thanks for your reply cameron.

What I mean from tiles is the tiles that can be in a web map. It can be exported from RAS Mapper.

First I have gotten the computation results of the unsteady flow analysis. And the RAS Mapper has imported these results and I added some results layer like WSE and Depth. Next I right click the “WSE” layer and choose the “Export RAS Tiles for Web Mapping” button to export the RAS tiles. Finally I set some parameters and click “create” button.

I’ve never doing this kind of job about how to control the GUI with scripting. Could you please give some advices about how to deal with it? I’m looking forward for your reply.

I would reach out to HEC to see if there is a way to automate the web map server tiles.
