Hi everyone,
i’m trying to simulate a weir (ogee crested) with 3 radial gates 10mx10m in steady flow condition.
After the simulation, when i see the results in the inline structure output i noticed that the whole discharge that i used in the simulation is splitted in two components: Qweir and Qgates.
Starting from the fact that in my simulation i consider all the three gates totally opened (3 gates high 10 m), i don’t understand the meaning of the Qweir and Qgates. I post also the image of the output table.
Another question is: if i simulate this weir with all the gates fully opened and the same weir without gates i was expecting to have the same results (or similar) but i observe differences of 50-60 cm. Why?
Anyone can help me to understand?
