Hi everyone,
I have the same inline structure with gates in two separate plans, Plan A and Plan B. I am comparing the Detailed Output Table – Inline Structure Output for both plans. In Plan A, the inline structure has a Gate Weir coefficient of 3.0. In Plan B, that line on the Detailed Output Table is blank. In Plan A, the gates are opening all the way and allowing water through the gates, but in Plan B, I’m seeing much more weir flow and the gates are only opening about 1/4 of the way.
I’ve verified that the geometry of the inline structure is the same in both plans.
The gates are controlled by the Navigation Dams unsteady flow option. I’ve verified that the unsteady flow data is the same in both plans. I’ve verified that the timestep of the model is the same, and I’ve verified (using a profile line plotting flow vs. time in RAS Mapper) that the same amount of flow is getting to the gates in the first place.
What else is controlling the operation of the gates that I could be missing? Is there a reason why the Gate Weir Coefficients would show up blank in the Detailed Output Table if they have been applied in the geometry editor? To be clear the Gate Weir Coefficients do also show up in the Weir and Gate Coeff Table…just not the Detailed Output Table, which suggests to me they are somehow not being applied…
Thank you,
A
