    Hello,

I inserted a few weirs as inline structures along a river reach. However, whenever a weir is inserted, the river bottom is changed upstream and downstream of the structure. Upstream, the river bottom becomes flat and downstream the river bottom suddenly drops. I searched for some solution in the manual, but did not find anything relevant.

An image of the river profile is given below:

Your help will be very much appreciated.

    With thanks,

    Matheo

Well, the sole solution I found is to create dummy cross-sections immediately upstream and downstream of each weir. Alternatively, I could interpolate and increase the number of cross-sections in my reach. Ok, that would be a solution.

But if you know another way to deal with this issue, thanks to let me know – I am still interested in any other relevant solution.

    Thanks in advance.

    Math.

Any structure, bridge, culvert, inline weir, should have an upstream and downstream face XS. This is described in several RAS manuals.
