In river storage area or 2D ponding area

Hello,
I have a complicated unsteady 1D model with several rivers and reaches. I’d like to put in a detention basin system with inline structures (culvert & weirs) and an outlet (multiple culverts), and am having difficulty identifying how to connect the storage area or 2D area to my model. I can’t figure out how to attach the downstream structures. I need to be able to obtain hydrographs for my upstream and downstream structures.

In the geometry editor under “edit” select move object and select the end of your 1D reach and move that point to be within the storage area. Once you do that you should get a message asking if you want to connect the two.
