I am running multiple RAS models with different geometric data imported using HEC-geoRAS into RAS from Different DEMs which I created. Though the cross section data is different for each run the underlying bridge/culvert data is the same. Is there a way to only store the bridge/culvert data and include that every time run the model? Manually copying them is a long painful processes.

The bridge data can be imported from one HEC-RAS geometry file to another. Go to “Import Geometry Data” under the file drop down menu in the geometry data editor in which you want to add the bridge. When importing data from other HEC-RAS geometry files, specific cross sections and/or structures can be selected for import. Select the bridge data you want to import and unselect the remaining data.

Thank you for the solution Keith M. Though i just selected the bridge data to import, there are addition cross sections with no data being created. Is there a cleaner way to get rid of them than deleting them individually?

Hi Manny. The extra cross sections being added must be frustrating. I don’t know a way of removing them other than to delete them manually.
